Who Is the Busiest Person Connected to the Rangers Saga?

There is a large cast of characters, anyone of whom could fit the above description.

You have, of course, the Board, fighting to repel the Rebels.

There are the Rebels/Requisitioners/Petitioners (or whatever title they happen to have depending on precisely what they are doing).

There are then the spin doctors – led by Media House and the undoubted king of “Public Relations and Strategic Communications” in Scotland – Jack Irvine.

There is the person who prepares the various announcements which pop up, thick and fast, on the Stock Exchange website as formal notices from RIFC PLC.

There is the person who supplies the pies to

No, that is unworthy. Please ignore that line.

There are then the opposing ranks of Rangers-supporting bloggers and webhosts, each offering their own views on the situation, and clearly now divided into two irreconcilable camps.

There are the “disinterested” although very “interested” outside observers, in which group I think I should be numbered.

There are the professional writers, reporters and journalists, all seeking to catch the next scoop ahead of the competition.

But, there is one person who seems to be engaged in a 24/7 shift – working away at all hours of the day and night and diligently performing their vital task, never being seen – although the effects of what they do are apparent for all to notice.

I mean, of course, Craig Whyte!

Gotcha! No I do not mean Craig Whyte – just wanted to see if you were awake!

Instead the accolade goes to an unnamed individual (I like to think it is one person and not a team) employed by Field Fisher Waterhouse. FFW is a firm of solicitors based in London and which has an excellent reputation as big hitters and especially within the sports law area.

What does this person do?

It seems that their job is to scour the internet, by day and by night, looking for things which ought not to be published.

LAte night office

Anyone who follows the Charlotte Fakes Twitter feed, for example, will be used to seeing links to documents posted by Charlotte, and, on clicking on them finding that they have vanished into the ether – often with only the legend “Removed due to a copyright claim by Field Fisher Waterhouse” remaining to mark where the document once was.

And it is not just Twitter.

People who use the Scribd website to post publications allegedly connected with the saga, and those who go there to read them, are also very familiar with the link being a dead one.

In addition, as well as this almost instant removal service, there has been comment recently about (a) Rangers-supporting bloggers (who are thought to be opposed to the present Board) being on the receiving end of legal correspondence asking them to cease and desist from making certain comments/allegations and (b) some Rangers-supporting bloggers removing posts which are critical of the present Rangers Board, without any acknowledgement on the particular site that this has even happened.

Regular visitors to Mr Leggat’s blog, which, it is fair to say, is rarely dull, will have noticed a couple of recent blogposts vanishing. Of course, in the 21st century, cached copies of removed posts are still to be found, and even for the assiduous FFW worker, it must take a little longer to persuade Google to remove something from its cache.

Of course, when a post is removed, then someone with an enquiring mind might wonder what in it caused it to be removed and on what grounds. What part, for example, of a post alleging that the Easdale brothers intend to bring Charles Green back to Rangers at some enormous salary so offended Rangers or FFW that it had to be removed? Was it the mere suggestion of such a development?

(I should make clear that I am not suggesting that there is any truth in such an allegation – indeed the swift removal suggests that that, or at least some part of the article within which that statement was made, was at least inaccurate. Mr Leggat, who has often in the past proclaimed his willingness to stand by his writings in court, if threatened with legal action for defamation, seems to have removed that post, together with another recent one, without demur. That suggests he has accepted that his suggestions were, at least on these occasions, ill-founded.)

So it must be said that the person, probably ensconced in their office in FFW in London, surrounded by Big Mac wrappers and half-empty cups of coffee, has done a fantastic job so far.

Bill Fremp's Desk

I imagine that this person goes by the name of Bill Fremp. (5 non-existent points to the first person who knows where that name comes from – no Googling now!)

(For the avoidance of doubt, there is no such person as “Bill Fremp” employed by FFW and no resemblance between him and any person living or dead should be inferred.)

All this of course will have to be paid for, although I am sure that a suitable and fair hourly rate has been agreed between the lawyers and its clients – after all, being able to charge a client for a 24/7 service sounds like Nirvana for fee-conscious lawyers.

So maybe, just to ensure the health and well-being of Bill Fremp, as he sits slumped in front of the PC screen in his London office, probably at this very minute, should we all agree to say nothing at all about Rangers for a couple of days, and thus give him a chance to get to bed, even for a few hours?

It is all taking a toll on Bill Fremp

It is all taking a toll on Bill Fremp

Or rather is it the case that this remarkable story will continue to produce more and more news, argument and discussion as every day goes past, meaning that such a self-imposed moratorium is doomed to fail?

Please, for the sake of Bill Fremp’s sanity, let it lie for a few hours!

Charlotte Fakes published the original Statutory-Records of Sevco 5088.

These show Charles Green had one share, Korissa had 5 million, Willow had 5 million that they passed on to Whyte’s firm Liberty Capital.

The Korissa placement was confirmed by lawyers Field Fisher Waterhouse and Imran ahmad.

Korissa was a firm registered in Panama that owned a Dutch firm called Belbios.

Belbios was owned by Tixway: confirmed here.

    Tixway was owned by Whyte.

So if the placing shares in Sevco 5088 at this stage had been transferred to Sevco Scotland, then FC Spivco would be owned by :tgef: .(sourced via a clever bampot lol)

is this the dark cloud over ibrokes they cant do a sale and lease back or mortgage there fecked riddled in disputes with no bank facility am loving it mind by lots of pies zombies and orange strips lol

        • Mick,

it was his mothers dinner Niall Walker stole, he got banned for that and been verbally rude and aggressive,
he is only allowed to visit when he is supervised by a care worker or his social worker, something along those lines, someone to keep him onside,

FFS,how low can you get, stealing your sick mothers dinner

    • 100bjd

      Mick,
This is exactly what I have been saying about this whole mess for some time although you have provided the detail. One of a few smoking guns!! Obviously I cant keep up with Charlotte and her smoking guns in respect of the FFW deletions. As I think about it they FFW may have good reason to delete them as I am sure certain disadvantaged Sevco 5088 shareholders may be eyeing up their professional indemnity here!

How did Broony play yesterday bhoys?
Did he look stressed? was he looking up at the stands every now and then?
I’m just trying to imagine playing for a team whose fans get so angry about things that they want to punch folk.
Is there a sliding scale of punishments.

Something better than one of those books you wanted me to read.Hope you enjoy and look forward to your reply and please do not deflect.

    HISTORY – INTERNMENT

In the early hours of the 9th August 1971 British soldiers launched operation Demetrius, the introduction of internment without trial. Internment had been employed by the Unionist Government at Stormont in every decade since the creation of the northern state as a means to suppress Republican opposition. In the 1920s, 1930s, 1940s, 1950s and 1960s republican suspects had been imprisoned without trial. As violence increased in 1970 and 1971 the Unionist Government again came under increasing pressure to clamp down on the activities of the IRA. By August 1971 the Stormont Government had convinced the British Government that internment offered the best method of dealing with the increasing violence, and pointed to its repeated success in previous decades. In an attempt to reduce the expected nationalist outrage a ban on all parades was announced at the same time, aimed at defusing the potential for unrest that the Apprentice Boys parade on the 12th August posed.

Relying on outdated lists containing 450 names provided by the RUC Special Branch, the British Army swept into nationalist areas of the north and arrested 342 men. The RUC intelligence, however, was hopelessly outdated and many of those arrested had no connections with the IRA. Others, although Republican minded, had not been active in decades. Others arrested included prominent members of the Civil Rights movement. In one instance in Armagh the British Army sought to arrest a man who had been dead for the past 4 years. It appears that the rapid radicalisation of much of the north’s nationalist community, and the RUC’s alienation from that community in the previous 2 years, had created a large intelligence gap in RUC files. Indeed, so out of date were the lists that within 48 hours 116 of those arrested were released. The remainder were detained at Crumlin Rd prison and the prison ship The Maidstone.

There is not enough discussion about me or Rangers, looks like I may get the night off.

Ally’s pay cut is close to 50%, throw in the other salary cuts and something will change this year in the wages bill, up to a million in savings.

Why is Phil not on here gloating about being right, Rangers are going bust in 3 months aren’t they?

Phil can never be wrong, can he?

Come on Frank Blin, Rangers needs you.

    • Steven Brennan

      Ignore this twat please

    • David Stevenson

15000 fewer punters through the gates at the 4 Ibrox league matches this season compared to last (probably reflecting reduced season ticket sales). You could call that £150K down so far (assuming an even spread across tickets and less VAT). Extrapolate across the season and that would be £675K down. Pumped out of the league cup at Forfar. Last season they had 4 home ties in the same tournament playing to over 120,000 fans with some televised. Probably £500-600K down there too?
The home game against Berwick Rangers in the Challenge Cup had 16000. Last year there were 24000 at the (televised) QoS game. Another £40K lost after splitting the gate?

Goian, Sandaza and Bocanegra are gone (though in two cases, paid off) but the rest were bit-players like Kal Naismith and Cole. The players signed to face the might of Stenny, Ayr etc in League One will pump up the wage bill beyond the savings made by off-loading some of last season’s dead weights.

The savings you refer to (most merely assumed) will go some way to covering losses at the gate compared to last season but they won’t help the much bigger picture. They could still easily run out of readies before the season is out.

    • Felpen

      IPO 22.2 million. Revenue 9.5 million. = 31.5 million. In the bank 11.1 million……
Save a million bucks! For a club that lost over

What happens next year after promotion. There will be plenty of players looking for a wage rise. With Sally claiming his salary, along with the other 2 stooges will return to their staggering levels once promotion has been achieved. This seems to be regardless of the club’s financial state at the time
only a buffoon would swallow Sally’s claims that the wage bill will drop again next year

    Niall
All over the newspapers in 1995?
Are you Nick Leeson? I thought you were living in the Emerald Isle now and acting as treasurer for an Irish soccer club. You said Baring Bros had a fundamentally sound business model the day before you shut them down.

Nicky Fairbairn died in ’95 and Roseana Cunningham won his Perth seat. You sound like an SNP supporter and a politician – were you involved in that?

Long shot this one – big Dunc was sent to Barlinnie for 3 months for head butting Jock McStay at Ibrox. Were you Dunc’s cell mate who said he was a lovely gentle guy who was simply misunderstood?

Am I warm on any of these Niall?

    From the Scottish Sun…

Rangers missed out on a share of a £600,000 pay-out from former TV company Setanta – because technically they don’t exist anymore.

Clubs who were part of the SPL between 2009 and 2012 received payments this week as their final divdend for the company going administartion back in 2009.

But Rangers got nothing because they were classed as a club which no longer exists after their liquidation in June 2012

Rangers fans want rid of anyone associated with CG or Ahmad, and perhaps the level of greed and improper governance deserves this.
I was prepared to give both BS and CM a chance but it seems their past has returned to haunt them, and it will be interesting to see how the AGM pans out.

What I find almost surreal is CG mumping and moaning earlier in the year about cutting costs while he was helping himself to millions in commissions, bonuses, salaries and CW’s shares. The guy has some brass neck.

    • Gedy Lee.

Steerpike. Green does not have a “Brass neck”. He simply spotted a clueless, terrified target audience. Once briefed on the behaviour of the Laptoployal, he knew he could get away with the most ludicrous rubbish without ever being taken to task by the media. He even charmed Jabba “rangers are dead” Traynor into agreeing to ghost write his up-coming version of events . Although Traynor has of course now been dropped like a stone, that book will be a must read.

He then fleeced you for millions without risking a penny of his own money. He really did take the whole of Sevcovia to the cleaners, and who could blame him. No wonder lowlifes like the Sleazedales have simply wandered in to the rangers . A club tie and a couple of pictures of them at Ibrox, is enough to gain “Saviour status” in Sevcovia. It seems you lot really will never learn.

Not sure how the 50% pay cut if that’s what it is gets applied.

My tax year for earnings starts in April, if it were me the simplest thing would be to pay me nothing beyond autumn.

In the case of Rangers prize winning manager I suspect the issue will be more dependant on the specific date on which the cut takes place.

Assuming the award winning manager looks at his new contract with a similar intensity with which he regarded it’s predecessor.

This blog was becoming meaningless before the technical glitches, now it reads like pure gobbledegook, except for Monti of course, the voice of reason.

  38. Just to note that, armed only with the description of the Leggat article, I was able to discover it on-line within 35 seconds. Googled “Leggat Easdales Green back”, discovered the blog title. I linked to one of the sites which had the blog post (no names, no pack drill), that directed me to another link and, hey presto, four days after the original piece was taken down, there it was in all its gory…I mean, glory. Its the usual Leggat pish, of course. You hope its true because it is so mad.
If “Bill Fremp’s” role really exists, (s)he is not doing it very well.
