After the cancellation of the visit by Mr Green’s team to Le Havre, Jean Alain Boumsong’s alma mater, and the withdrawal of the invitation from Southampton, the Ibrox team was still set for a trip round Germany to get what players it had tuned up for whatever League it might be playing in.
However even that has now fallen through.
“THE Rangers Football Club has been informed by the organisers of our pre-season trip to Germany that they can no longer offer us a place on the tour.
The team was due to play three games in Germany between 18-25 July, but the trip will now not take place at their request.”
I assume the “their” in the second paragraph refers to the organisers, rather than to Sevco pulling out.
The SPL has updated its list of pre-season friendlies. They no longer list Rangers, although if that is because there is no longer a member of that name, or because there are no pre-season games left, is not made clear.
Quite how Mr McCoist gets his players tuned up for the coming season, wherever his team will play, is now unclear.

Like all loving football fans, I have cast a cautious yet childlike anticipation of each new Public holiday in Scotland. From Administration day, Prima facia day, Liquidation day and the wonderful No to Newco (Part I). So we look forward to, at least, No to Newco SFL style, THE BIG TAX CASE, WHOOP, WHOOP, WHOOP…..but one event this past week or so has crept into my vague lexicon, EXTINCTION.
I’ve had many a Jim Bowen moment, ‘av ‘ad ah guid day, but I don#t want your speedboat as ah live in a 45 storey in Glesga’, well not his own catchy catchphrase, the point is……am I truly off the mark with this last event? Jurassic Ibrox? Murray’s meteor in years being blamed for wiping out “the shame”? Have we had enough?

Funny side story when the pre-season games of a local team my neck of woods – VfB Lübeck – were announced weeks back…said in the papers they were offered “Rangers” but chose Brondy instead…not as daft as they usually look, these guys…

I have been following quietly for a few days the actions and reactions unrolling over the last few days.
My observations are twofold;
1st, Scottish footballing: How much longer can the employed executives of our leagues and body continue in their current positions without inflicting more shame and embarrassment? How long before they are, rightly forced out?
They have without doubt been completely complicit in preventing our game sorting out a business failure now effectively 1 whole year ago, forget 14th Feb. If the club in question had been held to account and the SFA provided proper due diligence then this farce and embarrassment would not now be playing out–it would be finished, (for the good of all).
The position of RFC should have been scrutinised at takeover as any “new business” would be especially if they make up such an important part of the “business” in Scottish football. They should also have been monitored immediately after they lost out in Europe.
“Us plebs cannot be the only ones aware of RFC fragility on the financial front. Oh yes and succulent lamb or a nice quiet lunch does not cut it Mr Regan.”
RFC were insolvent last summer and totally screwed when they subsequently failed to proceed in European football again.
The SFA were not so reluctant to act when Livingston or Gretna failed and in truth both these clubs were in a far better situation than RFC. I little squeeze room may have seen both clubs in better positions if the least of the courtesy’s extended to RFC had been provided to them.
The reason is simple and we all know why, the “old co” has the admin executives (allegedly) in their pockets.
By now we are all getting over it, including I suggest a lot of RFC fans. (I mean in the sense of what has happened).
So my main point is that without going into it any further, I leave that to Paul and co….., detail – SFA and SPL in particular have much to answer for through their immediate representatives, yes that’s what Regan and Doncaster are, it is now that we need to bring to bear the spotlight of discomfort on them. Let’s clean Scottish football for once and for the future.
Let them justify why they have delayed for no apparent reason;
Announcing Sanctions or delaying sentence for no good reason against Rangers Football Club.
Tried, unsuccessfully so far, to influence the independent thoughts of businesses good and bad, in good shape or otherwise to bend to their will with unsubstainsiated claims and rhetoric.
Acted with absolute disregard for the game and nation as well as the businesses that they are appointed to represented.
If they tried to handle this worse they surely could not succeed. It is my opinion that Regan and associates and Doncaster and associates have brought this game into TOTAL disrepute and the ONLY sanction available to the members and supporters against them is for their removal………..immediately!!
Secondly
What about RFC?
Much of the supporters, (yes I am a CFC fanatic, season book holder and spend most of my time abroad = numpty), vent is against RFC and their arrogance and the punitive punishments they are receiving or about to receive.
Yesterday I drew breathe and took both sides into account.

The detail is from the meeting in Govan and present were ALL representatives of the club and supporters and I mean ALL.
“The board did enter at approximately 7:20pm, as Chairman Malcolm Murray, CEO Charles Green, as well as financial director Brian Stockbridge and Imran Ahmad of Zeus Capital.
Without detailing every question that was answered, I felt the board answered as best they could and as fairly as they could. Charles Green has a certain style, and as Malcolm Murray said, ‘he will never be a charmer’. I must admit though, I am more and more impressed each time Green speaks. He is a resilient individual, he knows that Rangers are up against it all, from every angle. As he said last night, ‘the lunatics are running the asylum’. I can’t disagree with that!
With regards to who owns our club, the current board only own 26% collectively. Bluepitch Holdings are the majority shareholder with 23% right now, but this will be reducing to below 20% soon. Other names included were those that have already been named in the press, Glenmuir, Ian Hart, etc.
Brian Stockbridge and Imran Ahmad, took questions on the financial aspects the club is facing right now, and I felt answered them well. There is working capital available right now (£3million), there is more investment to come in next week (£2.5million) and Imran Ahmad is going to be constantly looking at ways to raise investment. That is his speciality, and why he is working for Zeus Capital.
Brian Stockbridge did say a few times, that season ticket money will be vital to the success and health of our club.”
“I asked Ally a question, which in reality, is a very unfair question to ask an employee of a company, when his bosses are still in the room. I asked Ally, what was his opinion of the new board, as we had been seeing most fans either not trusting, or saying they cannot trust yet – inbetween yet more Bomber rants!
Ally said he, like most of us, cannot trust the new board yet. However, he said that it is important to remain balanced about it. He cannot trust them yet, but they must be given the opportunity to earn his – and our – trust.
I am happy with that. If there is a man to follow the example of right now, it is certainly my hero, Ally McCoist.”
“The rest of us very rarely get an opportunity to speak to those who run our club and this opportunity was spoiled by one man, with his own agenda.

My reason for posting these quotes as per the caster is to shine some light into the business that Scottish football is being asked at ALL levels to include.
My own opinion is that this business will succeed in one form or another. It is not nor will be RFC of old, not for many years if ever again….Note I say business NOT club. AMcC has already stated publically that he would want to start in Div3. This is a footballing decision nothing else. he knows that they will not stand a chance, with current squad and future potential sanctions pending, of putting together a squad of players to challenge Div1/SPL2. This is simple fact. We all know it newco fans included.
So my conclusion; the only people making a mess of our game are the representatives of the SFA/SPL and to a lesser extent SFL. It is these individuals that need to be gone from Scottish/International football and NEVER to be allowed anywhere near it again at any level.
The Scottish fans have accepted the outcome including ex and newco RFC it is time for a real change, LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN.
